Design: A fun exploration in patterns within patterns and contrasts. The strength of the triangle was used to create layers and the mandala or seed of life symbol to represent fractal patterns. These fractal curves allowed for the depths needed to create contrast of tone to the metal.
Pendant technique: Brass sheet was cut out to create a hollow form triangle. The top layer was roll printed, scored and folded to ensure the design was visible on the sides of the triangle. This method was chosen to avoid long solder lines which would interrupt the flow of the pattern across the piece. End caps were cut, scored and folded then soldered into place.
