Design: A blue quartz with circles of silver following the curves of the stone to give a soft feminine vibe to the piece.

Pendant technique: An oval cabochon was created using lapidary tools. Sterling silver sheet metal was used to cut out three components: The base plate, circle necklace and the circular claws to hold the stone. The circles for the necklace row were punched through using a metal punch. They were then sweat soldered on to the base plate. The claws were soldered on and gently pressing them down locked the stone into position.
